Rough estimate of what it would cost to rent the GPUs that trained the open-weight models on the Hugging Face Hub: about $1B (10th to 90th percentile: $0.82B to $1.35B), for the final training runs of 75 model families from 35 organizations.

Not counted: community fine-tunes, LoRAs and merges, smaller families outside the list, experiments, salaries and datasets.
